Footage so far

Party Scene

So far, we have shot the footage for the party/rave scene of the "night before", which we did in the White room on the College site. We used disco lights, strobe lights and fairy lights to create the atmosphere of a party. We blacked out the windows with fabric, and invited lots of people to come and dance with glowsticks, in order to make the footage seem realistic.

We are pleased with the footage, we have over 20 minutes worth to choose from! We will use short sections as part of a montage in our video, in order to give a 'flashback' effect. We tried to get lots of close ups, long shots and high angles. We tried using a fisheye lens, but found that the room was too dark for this to work properly. Hopefully this will work well with the other footage we are planning to shoot next week...

Performance Footage

We shot the performance footage of the band playing the song in a room at our friend's house. We used lots of guitar amps, cables and microphone stands as props, in order to make the footage appear more realistic. We also used fairy lights to make the footage more interesting. We used a fisheye lens for this shoot, which worked well and created interesting effects. We have lots of good footage to work with, including close ups, cutaways and low/high shots. We will edit this all together and mix it with the party footage...
