Feedback from other classes
Genre- performance based vide, rock star conventions =].
Relationships- Relationship between lyrics and visuals - performing in the living room (LIES) "dancing in the living room".
Camerawork- All shots framed and shot well. variation of shots is good. Performance framed and shot well. Close ups when neccisary. Fish eye lens. Good use of wide shots and close ups - not too many. Uniform shots of each band member = cool. Lots of low and high shots.
Editing- Split screen at end is good. Sped up shot of girl standing near lion yard. Sped up parts are good. Roundabout spin good (LIES). Fast cuts add effect. When background is moving behind Ruth it is clever (no grammatical sense).
Mise-en-scene- Costumes and bright colours work well.
SFX- Flashing is good. Spinning effect. Range of close ups and mid shots. Split screen. Slow mo. Stars on faces good theme. Suits genre =].

music video analysis
T2-53 Girl - Robots in disguise.
The song for this music video is of a similar genre to the song we used in our own music video.
The video contains lots of fast and some slow motion which we have done in ours.
Their video is very creative and quite experimental, which is again similar to our music video.

final feedback
GENRE: genre strongly comes acrodd, indie, pop rock, electro dance. outfits and accessories fit with the genre rather than challenge it. intertextual to the tv drama skins, very influenced by it.
RELATIONSHIPS: lyrics and visuals build up a good performance, movement links to pace of the song, uplifting and upbeat performance shown through lyrics and movement, they have achieved the relationship they set out for.
CAMERAWORK: good use of fisheye lens, makes performance more interesting. wide range of shots used in the rave. good cutaway shots, effective use of close up shots of band and girl in street - shows expressions
EDITING: quality of editing is very good, pace of the cuts is very good, split screen at the end is good. shots not held for too long as it cuts between performance and the other shots at a good rate to keep it interesting. speed is good and connects well with speed of the music. lack of transitions works well.
MISE-EN-SCENE: good use of makeup and eyeliner to convey emotion. instruments fit in well, party scene is very good, like use of fairy lights and strobes. glow sticks portray party theme.
SFX: use of strobe and disco lighting is good, slowed down footage etc...
